Choconaut Magic Mushroom Chocolate

Choconaut is Temple's bite-sized mushroom chocolate, made to offer psilocybin without the earthy taste of dried mushrooms.

It comes in two sizes: a 2-piece pack containing 1 g in total, and a 4-piece pack containing 2 g in total. The smaller pack is a sensible way to begin.

Chocolate is one of the most approachable ways to take psilocybin: it masks the earthy taste of dried mushrooms, and portioned pieces make it easy to take a measured amount. Edibles are absorbed more slowly than tea, particularly after a meal, so effects may take an hour or more to begin.

Read the wrapper for the amount in each piece before you begin. Start with a single piece, or half of one if you are new, and wait at least two hours before considering more. Because chocolate is easy to keep eating, decide on your amount in advance and put the rest away.

Store chocolate sealed in its original packaging somewhere cool and dry, away from heat and sunlight, so it keeps its shape and texture. Because it looks exactly like an ordinary treat, keep it clearly labelled and locked away from children and pets.

Plan a calm, comfortable setting and a clear day, with a sober friend nearby for anything beyond a small amount. Do not combine with alcohol or other substances, and do not drive. Not suitable for anyone under 19, pregnant or breastfeeding, with a personal or family history of psychosis or bipolar disorder, or taking lithium or antidepressants without medical advice.
