People take dried mushrooms in a few ways: chewed whole, ground and steeped as a tea, or ground and portioned into capsules. Tea is often described as gentler on the stomach and a little quicker to begin. However you take them, a digital scale that reads to a hundredth of a gram is the most useful tool you can own, because it lets you portion accurately and repeat what worked.

If this is your first time with this strain, start low: well under a gram is a sensible first amount, even for people with some experience. Wait at least two hours before deciding whether you want more, and in most cases save any increase for another day. Psilocybin content varies naturally from batch to batch, so treat every new bag as new.

Keep them airtight, cool, dark and dry. A glass jar in a cupboard away from heat and sunlight is ideal, and a food-safe desiccant packet helps guard against humidity. Label the jar with the strain and the date. If the mushrooms ever turn soft, smell musty or show signs of mould, throw them out.

Plan a full experience with care: a calm, familiar space, a clear day and a trusted, sober friend nearby. Do not combine with alcohol or other substances, and do not drive. Avoid psilocybin if you are under 19, pregnant or breastfeeding, have a personal or family history of psychosis or bipolar disorder, or take lithium, antidepressants or other medications without medical advice.
